Smt. Preethi Sathyanarayanan started learning the divine art of Bharatanatyam under the tutelage of her Guru Shri. Namakkal Rajaram at Chennai, India.

Currently, Preethi is a disciple of Acharya Choodamani Guru. Roja Kannan. She is also learning under the guidance of Guru. Dr. D. Suresh Ph.D and

Vidushi. Shreyasi Gopinath expanding her knowledge and honing the skills.

 

On the performances front, Preethi performed at various events and earned many accolades in India (Krishna Gana Sabha, Mylapore Fine Arts, YGP Auditorium and many more) and in the USA Like Cleveland Thyagaraja Festival, Sanga Thamizh Production by Guru Madurai R Muralidaran, Purandaradasa Aradhana Festivals, Oothukkadu Venkata Kavi Festivals and more.

 

On personal front, Preethi holds a Post-Graduate Degree in Biotechnology and Post-Graduate Degree in Dance.

 

Preethi established Srilaya Dance Academy in DFW area, Texas, USA inculcating the knowledge of Bharatanatyam to future generations. Srilaya Dance Academy is a proud member of The International Dance Council of UNESCO.

 

Preethi and her students had earned numerous awards and recognitions all over the world – multiple Guinness Record Certificates, Asia Book of Records, India Book of Records, International Book of Records, Indian Raga Monthly Competitions, AIDA (All India Dancers Association) OJAS Competitions, Sanskriti Sangamam, Papanasam Sivan Competitions to name a few.
